SOFEX 2006 -  Jordan's Special Operations Military Technology Exhibition and Conference

SOFEX 2006, the sixth exhibition in the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference series, is expected to attract over 270 exhibiting companies and organizations from across the world. SOFEX is the second largest defense exhibition to be held within the Middle East and North Africa. In the last decade, the Middle East has emerged as the largest importing region for security and military defense equipment, representing nearly 60% of the global defense expenditures. Invitations to attend will be extended to heads of state, defense ministers, chiefs of armed forces, special operations commanders and defense procurement directorates from across the Middle East and Northern Africa, as well as to those nations supportive of Jordan. A comprehensive program will be initiated to ensure that the exhibitors meet with their chosen delegates. In addition, over 250 accredited journalists and specialized media representatives are expected to attend SOFEX.
